The Purpose

This blog was started to keep people up to date with the on goings of Copper Bottom Sales and to give people a way to comment to me without having to be on myspace or facebook. I am sure I will publish any climbing trips or interesting things I find as well.

Copper Bottom Sales was established in 2008 in efforts to bring high quality sports clothing, gear and accessories to people and businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region. Out of three companies that I began representing, only one has worked out. Acopa climbing shoes. The others had great products but some issues with their inner workings as a company.

Come back periodically to check out what is going on.

  1. Hey there!!!

How did you put a pic as your heading? thats cool.

  2. I followed Badash’ here. Good to see another info site. I’m always trying out different shoes, as my feet are finicky. Must have 9 pair around now, some still in need of that last 5mm stretch to fit just right. Never tried Acopa. Should I? Do they come in ginormous size for flat feet?

  3. Acopa is a great company, all high quality material and craftsmanship. Rubber is natural. When synthetic rubber fails it just pops you off the hold, when natural rubber fails it starts to slip slowly and gives you more notice. Several Pairs go up to size 15, you can even order split sizes. Aztec, JB, Chameleon, Spectre, and the new Legend are great choices. John Bachar at http://www.acopausa.com can help you with sizing if you click the Ask John link. Email me with any questions or post here. joe@copperbottomsales.com

    Thanks,

    Joe

  4. thanks for the info. I saw the styles on acopa site, and since I’m into basic comfort and not high performance, a few models do look appealing. Saw the Bacher link and all. Will check back again on this.
